Saturday 26th. September
A front wheel blow-out with less than a mile to go robbed Steve and Dave of certain victory in the Glenkinchie 2-up TTT held on the Humbie circuit.
A lead of over a minute at the first lap split had been extended to nearly 2 minutes as the pair caught and passed the third-placed Dooleys duo at Saltoun on the second and final lap.
Despite having to stop and then to ride home on the rim, FC2000 pairing finished second by a scant 1 second to the Dooleys no.1 team.
